Zeenat Kader has a background in chemical engineering and has been active primarily in the textile industry both with research in (chemical) recycling of textiles as well as with the implementation of sustainable production practices in global (textile) value chains.
In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?
I have realized that nature is a part of us and we are a part of nature, even in urban environments nature is present in all that we experience. I try to reflect this in the work that I do.
What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?
Being part of a system that does not build on exploitation but on mutual respect, collaboration, and co-existence. Also realizing that change is constant and learning to work with it.
