In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

While a lot of my reporting focuses on conflicts and human tragedies, I can’t help but acknowledge how much of our action as society interacts with and impacts nature and biodiversity. It also surprises me every time, how little we prioritise protecting the environment, especially during tragedies, without realising how co-dependent we are to it, and that it will inevitably affect us, sooner than later. It is part of the reason that drives me to tell these stories, to explore as a species, our symbiotic relationship with the environment.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

Being able to channel my energies and efforts, as much as I can, towards reviving what has been desecrated.
