Max Miechowski (b. 1989) is a British photographer based in London. With a focus on long-form projects, which are often rooted in portraiture, his practice centres on themes of connection and community, and explores the intricate, at times conflicting, relationships between people and place.
In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?
I am continually inspired by how we perceive ourselves in relation to nature. There is a blindspot within us that creates the labels of ‘man-made’ and ‘natural’, as if we somehow don’t belong here. It reminds me of a quote by Frederick Summer: “Some speak of a return to nature. I wonder where they could have been?”.
