Yoko Ono

Yoko Ono is a Japanese multimedia artist, singer, songwriter and peace activist. Her work also encompasses performance art, which she performs in both English and Japanese, and filmmaking. Ono founded ImaginePEACE, a global initiative, that utilizes a vast array of media platforms and works of art to communicate it’s message of peace and unity to the world. The initiative commenced with the construction of the Imagine Peace Tower, a memorial dedicated to her departed husband John Lennon in Reykjavik, Iceland.
