In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

My direct experiences with the effects of climate change, such as water scarcity and extreme weather events, have heightened my awareness of environmental, social issues, and the urgency of addressing them. This awareness informs my work, prompting me to explore themes of resilience, adaptation, and coexistence with the non-human world.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

Being part of a thriving ecosystem means recognizing the interconnectedness between human experiences and the natural world, as well as the broader social and environmental contexts that shape our lives. Growing up in Tamil Nadu, India, I witnessed firsthand the profound effects of climate change on my community, where the theme of climate change isn’t just a meteorological phenomenon but a lived reality. From water scarcity to power cuts and disrupted habitats, the impacts of rising temperatures are deeply ingrained in everyday life. Despite these challenges, the resilience and adaptability of communities in coping with climate-related adversities inspire me.
