In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?
Having a realization that we are as much a part of nature as the trees, the stones, rivers and mountains, as sunrise and phases of the moon, ignites a sense of oneness towards creating a perspective that is not based on duality. It’s not a perspective I find myself in all the time, for that would totally defeat its purpose, but its afterglow is what guides the everyday actions, the acts of seeing and how, the inclination towards certain colors and forms and my role in it—as an observer, and as a creator. And such is the beauty of it that it is ever changing, ever evolving.
What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?
The word “thriving” gets its essence through an analogy with our idea of what it means to be otherwise, and with that I don’t mean that our idea of thriving is wrong, but it only means, that the boundaries we set for it are merely limited by our imagination, and a very human perspective. Having said that and allowing myself to imagine just a bit more wildly, being part of such an ecosystem could only mean manifestation of life through a new dimension of reality—one which we, perhaps, are incapable of comprehension just yet, though, always endeavoring.
