In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?
The natural world has played a major role in my life. I grew up in the rolling hills of South Central Pennsylvania doing all things outdoors. I feel connected to the landscape and find peace in its simple pleasures, and instinctively want to represent it in my work.
What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?
I believe the natural world and humanity share a similar architecture of interconnectedness. When humans ignore or deny the fact that everything and everyone works in concert, we do so at our own peril. To be part of a thriving ecosystem means recognizing the importance of taking care of other living entities to elevate the wellbeing of all.
