In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

I write and make art because I believe in the importance of paying attention. I think nature both invites us to pay attention to its beauty and necessitates for us to pay attention to ensure its conservation.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

I always try to keeping in mind the message of one of my favorite poems: “Like You” by Roque Dalton. He writes, “my veins don’t end in me / but in the unanimous blood / of those who struggle for life, / love, / little things, / landscape and bread, / the poetry of everyone.”
