Hans Neumann was born in Lima, Peru. Living in a difficult city where art isn’t easily pursued as a way of making a living, he decided to study law and political science at Universidad de Lima, with hopes of one day becoming a writer.
Through his images and films he tries to convey the stories of real people that exist in his world or sometimes characters created from his imagination. His work focuses on identity, community and the idea of home.
