I’m a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and affiliated with the Centre for Climate Justice. My work is focused on advancing community-led energy transitions and dethroning fossil capital.

In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

I find nature incredibly queer, just like me! It’s weird, loving, scary, caring, fun, eccentric, thorny, and so much more. My work seeks to uncover the entanglements and interconnectedness of phenomenon, and nature’s rhizomatic tendencies inspire how I structure my thoughts and writing.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

For me, being part of a thriving ecosystem means being part of a healthy, loving, and caring community that extends beyond human beings — from the living to the non-living and inorganic. A thriving ecosystem, to me, is one that can provide peace.
