In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

Nature reminds me of the stakes of climate reporting. It moves me to think about the impact my work can have when I’m covering the environment, and how I can reach new audiences. Nature also encourages me slow down and take breaks throughout the day. I love working right in front of a window, and I feel lucky watching deer pass through and the seasons change while I’m working.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

It means being aware of how the everyday choices you make impact the world around you and continually striving to improve. It also means recognizing the beauty in all types of environments and life.
