She was born and raised in the Philadelphia area but graduated from Emerson College in Boston (where she met her partner). She has lived in Washington, D.C. since 2015. In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?
The relaxation that comes with being out in nature helps clear the mind to come up with creative, novel ideas. Being hunched over a desk wondering ‘how soon can I get up’ does the opposite. Being in nature helps me not only come up with new ideas based on what I’m seeing, but helps me fine tune everything else by allowing for my mind to wander and explore.
In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?
It means embracing, not fearing or completely controlling, proximity to nature and everything in it.
