Allie Leepson (she/her) and Jesse McClary (he/him) are a queer/trans married photography duo committed to highlighting underrepresented narratives. Their work primarily emphasizes the overlooked presence and contributions of queer people in Western American history, aiming to bridge societal and historical gaps.

In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

American landscapes deeply inform our work, acting as a significant element in the human-centric stories we capture. These environments shape the cultural contexts of our subjects and inspire us through their inherent narrative resonance. For us, nature emerges as a silent yet potent force within our storytelling.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

Being part of a thriving ecosystem, to us, mirrors being part of a vibrant, interconnected community. Just as every organism has a role and contributes to the overall health of an ecosystem, every individual adds value and shapes the narrative within a community. Our world thrives on these connections and interdependencies.
