In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

I have always observed nature, mainly I like to find beauty in imperfection. Growing up by the Black Sea shaped my strong bond with water, I’m charmed by observing it in all its states. Simply looking at water makes me calm and help to dig into myself in order to analyze what touches me , I look at the sea as at psychologist in a way.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

As an artist I try to reflect on the current environment I’m living in, as a citizen of Kiev I find inspiration on its streets. In Ukraine likewise in many East European countries garbage recycling is not as well developed as it is in central Europe for instance. In some projects I use plastic and make art objects out of not recyclable materials to give them second life and hopefully bring more attention to this issue.
