In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

Even though the initiation point of departure in my work is a chaotic, fueled by dissonant contrasts in everything from concept to color to movement, I am continually seeking to find an organic and natural flow within the finishes. I find it more accurately reflects my world and nature how I see it: a strangely beautiful mess like the Grand Canyon or the depths of the Amazon. I grew up in city like environments where nature is curated so I fluctuate between a desire to let the pieces fall together as they may and manipulated them into a desired outcome.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

I think it it would require having a consistent compassionate awareness of our surroundings… man to nature… man to man… man to animal. Unfortunately we don’t have that, hence our strained ecosystem.
