I'm a freelance environment and culture journalist and medical student based in the UK, focused on the intersection of climate, health and culture. I'm currently working on developing a blueprint for sustainable clubbing with Jaegermeister. I hold a BASc in literature and neuroscience from UCL and an MSc in medical anthropology from the University of Oxford.
In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?
Nature is the blueprint! I want my stories to flow like leaves in the wind. I also want to be as accepting of failures, dead ends, and redirections as nature teaches us to be. And I want the optimism inherent in the cycles of the natural world to glint through my sentences.
What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?
To be in community with the people, plants and beings around me; to be able to give and receive protection in equal measure; to have roots and supports everywhere I turn, and to have the privilege of being able to be that root for others.
