Hannah is a passionate, Venezuelan-American, ocean and environmental enthusiast. Her interests lie at the intersection of multi-media storytelling and climate and food justice. Previously, she has worked with environmental organizations Women’s Earth Alliance and Earthday.org. Hannah has a dog named Benny.

In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

Mother Nature is a warrior. In perseverance, she is simultaneously unforgivably strong and blissfully loving and peaceful. The dualities of nature help me find balance in my work and understand taking nothing for granted. Not to mention, teaching me the exceptional value and beauty of interconnectedness and working in community to achieve a goal.

What does it mean to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

As Bob Brown has said, “each of us alters the whole by just a little and yet forever”. Being part of a thriving ecosystem is understanding our small role in something much bigger than us, and doing our best to make the most positive contributions we can.
