In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?

I was born in Colombia, the world’s third most biodiverse country, which instilled a profound humility toward nature and an understanding of my place as a small part of a greater whole. I write to document the relentless extraction and exploitation of our paradise and the struggle of existing as a queer body in a land marked by breathtaking beauty, yet marred by systematic violence and exploitation.

What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?

Being part of a thriving ecosystem means maintaining constant awareness of how my actions, words, and thoughts shape reality. I see this as an intricate web of connections that exist both in our daily lives and on a deeper, spiritual level. It’s a call to honor this interconnectedness, ensuring that my creative contributions support balance and respect within this shared space.
