She works to document in order to create a conversation or a connection to people that may otherwise not be known. She's interested in exploring what draws us to the things, careers, connections we spend our lives seeking out.
In what ways does nature inspire or inform your work?
The natural world is our habitat. The “nature” of this world is, and will always be, changing. An important inspiration of my projects is witnessing our relationship with nature.
What does it mean to you to be part of a thriving ecosystem?
If we think about the ways in which trees are successful at surviving, we understand that this world doesn’t depend on just one of us. Like the trees, we have to figure out how to be one body to be successful. A forest of trees lend itself to protection. I’d say it’s the same for every living being on this planet.
